Description

The Climapro₂ RF is our most innovative wireless programmable room thermostat. This intuitive intelligent control allows your customers to program their central heating and hot water requirements for each part of everyday. Unlike compensation controls that adjust the gas valve, optimisation controls build up patterns of use to operate the boiler most efficiently. These can work with all boilers to improve their efficiency. Table 4 below shows third party smart controls that offer optimisation features and these will be compatible with most boilers. Boiler branded advanced controls + compatible boilers Product Turning the hot water tap calls the printed circuit board (PCB) into action, telling the burner to fire up so that the water can be heated, which involves the gas valve supplying sufficient fuel. When the F16 error code appears, there’s an issue preventing this process form happening – either the flame isn’t present or the PCB is failing to detect the flame. How to fix the F16 error code The same procedure applies for loops with one handle. However, water will flow through the tap once you open it.

Glow Worm boilers and other heating systems can be characterised by two types of pressure: one is gas, the other water.

What can cause the F9 Glow Worm fault code?

Smart heating apps are designed to be intuitive and user friendly, making them easier to use than many boiler control panels. Some smart thermostats are also able to learn your preferences over time and set themselves to the most suitable programme for the time and temperature, so you don’t even need to change it yourself. Glow-worms MiGo control immediately begins to learn the thermal behaviour of the building to better respond to your requirements. People usually refer to “boiler Pressure” or “system Pressure” when they talk about water. This is also true for the Glow Worm boiler F9 fault code.

Essentially I have tapped in directly from the boiler 230v supply to the heat link then took a jumper cable from the Live terminal of the heat link and put that into terminal 2 on the heatlink. Then added one more core from terminal 3 on the heat link then wired it into the ‘RT’ terminal on the boiler as suggested in the tutorial/forum post. If you’re satisfied that there’s no PCB connection fault, that’s good news. The PCB is extremely expensive to fix, and in many cases, a new boiler is really the only option. The code could also indicate that your system is experiencing a reduction in pressure. You may not need to replace any of the parts, but this code could indicate that there are faulty parts. Boilers can lose pressure slowly over time. Most boilers need to be repressurised at least once a year. You can increase the central heating system pressure yourself.

What’s Next?

Conversely, if the pressure is too high, you’ll need to figure out why it keeps rising above the normal threshold and repair the underlying problem. You can read our guide to high boiler pressure here. What’s Next? In theory, any of the third party controls below will operate any of the boilers listed in the above table, but this is not always the case in practice. Third party Opentherm controls are not always 100% compatible with Opentherm boilers. Our advice is to confirm with the boiler manufacturer that their boilers are 100% compatible with the third party control you wish to use. Out of seven third party controls, five are internet controls and two are standard programmable room thermostats. As they all carry load compensation controls (Opentherm) they are all compliant under Boiler Plus. Third Party manufacturers that will work with all Opentherm boilers Resetting a Glow-worm boiler is simple. All you need to do is press the reset button and hold it for 3-5 seconds (boiler manuals typically state where a particular model’s reset button is, and how long it needs to be pressed down). The boiler should then take several minutes to restart. As each Glow-worm boiler control has its own unique features and benefits, we’ve put together this guide to help you determine which controls will suit your needs. Glow-worm 230V Room Thermostat This technology has lots of advantages as it can better your energy efficiency and reduce heating costs as your boiler will only fire up when it's needed.

A leak can be detected if there are frequent or significant drops in pressure. What’s Boiler Pressure? There could be a water leak in the system, the pressure relief valve needs replacing or the radiators have been bled recently

Glow-worm Boiler Troubleshooting — Problems, Fault Codes, and Fixes

Combi Greenstar i range: Junior, Si, CDI compact and Cdi Classic. Systen Greenstar: 12i-24i, 27i-30i and Cdi Classic System You may be able to diagnose some of these problems without professional assistance. For instance, if there’s been a power cut or your other gas appliances aren’t working, then your boiler is probably not getting gas or electricity and thus can’t switch on. An issue with the PCB is commonly seen after a new one has been fitted due to the incorrect model being installed or it being unconfigured. In the case that one of these is the problem, a heating engineer will be able to safely replace or configure the PCB.
